Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team. As an Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, such as excavators and loaders, to load semi trailers with garbage at a transfer station . If you have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience operating heavy equipment, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Operate excavators and loaders to perform tasks such as pushing up and loading garbage into open top tipper trailers.
- Use heavy equipment in a safe and productive manner
- inspect and grease the equipment daily along with filling out daily inspection reports
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Skills:
- Proficient in excavator and loader operation
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment
- Experience with loading garbage is a plus
- Ability to load and move garbage material safely and efficiently
